This policy explains which cookies and which local storage the Clivex website uses, for what purpose and how you can manage them. A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser; local storage serves a similar purpose, but the data is not sent with every request to the server.
Apart from the strictly necessary ones, no cookie or third-party script is activated until you give your consent in the banner. You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it.
Necessary (no consent required)
These are essential for the site to work and to protect it from abuse. They rely on our legitimate interest and cannot be switched off from the banner, although you can delete them from your browser.
- clivex_cookie_consent (local storage, first party): stores the choices you make in the cookie banner so we do not ask you again on every visit. Technically it is not a cookie: it stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers. It remains until you delete it or change your preferences.
- reCAPTCHA v3 (Google Ireland Ltd.): protects the contact form against automated message sending. The script loads only when you start using the form, not on the rest of the pages, and Google sets its own cookie (_GRECAPTCHA) to assess whether the interaction comes from a person. Google receives information about your browsing on that page for this security purpose. If you would rather not use it, you can email us directly at info@clivex.com.
Analytics (require your consent)
These let us understand in aggregate how the site is used so we can improve it. They are not activated unless you accept the analytics category in the banner: until then the scripts either do not load at all, or load without permission to store anything.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.): statistical measurement of site usage. It loads with Consent Mode v2 and storage permission denied by default, so it sets no cookies without your consent. Once accepted, it uses first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by the measurement ID) to distinguish visitors, lasting up to two years.
- Metricool (Metricool Soluciones, S.L.): web traffic analysis and visit attribution. It does not implement Consent Mode, so its script is not injected at all until you accept the analytics category. Processing takes place within the European Union.
Marketing
As of today this site sets no advertising or profiling cookies, and we do not share data with advertising networks. The category still appears in the banner because your choice is communicated to Google through Consent Mode: if you reject it, Google is explicitly told it may not use your data for advertising purposes. Should we add any tool in this category in the future, we would update this policy and it would only activate with your consent.
How to manage or withdraw your consent
The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept everything, reject everything or choose category by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and does not limit your use of the site.
You can change your mind at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Your browser also lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage for any site; note that if you clear local storage we will ask about your preferences again.
International transfers and your rights
Google and Metricool are our providers acting as data processors. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area relying on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses; Metricool processes data within the European Union.
